We the petitioners in the CGIT case have decided to file a supplemtary list of workmen who have been working with LIC post CGIT award of 1991, up to the decision of dismissal of Curative petition by the Supreme Court in February 2017. The basic conditions of having worked 85 days in class 3 and 70 days in class 4 should have been completed by the applicants.
The present instructions of LIC for absorption of workmen is just an eyewash and will be stifly resisted by Life Insurance Employees Association, LIFE.
We once more request all concerned, our divisional and zonal units to provide list of such workmen who are members of LIFE and have been working in LIC post CGIT so that their names be included in the supplementary list to be submitted to the courts. The names should be communicated latest by 10/06/2017.
Earlier we had also conveyed our intent of filing a supplementary list to the LIC management as well in our meeting with ED (P) on the issue of instructions issued in compliance of the Supreme Court orders.
